Load, Save, Edit & Render 2D SmartArt Objects in Presentation using .NET API

What's New in this Release?

We are happy to share the announcement of Aspose.Slides for .NET 14.1.0 merged API release. This release is part of the ongoing process to develop a merged Aspose.Slides for .NET API that is at par with the legacy Aspose.Slides for .NET API (Aspose.Slides for .NET 8.3.0). The legacy Aspose.Slides for .NET API will be phased out once the merged API incorporates all the same features and is fully mature. In the meanwhile, we maintain both the merged as well as legacy API so that our customer can familiarize themselves with the new API. In this release, we have added support for loading, saving, editing, and rendering 2D SmartArt objects. Our documentation section, working with SmartArt in presentation, gives a working sample. We have also rectified some reported issues regarding presentation access in this release. There are some known issues in this release and we working on them. We are hopeful to overcome these limitations in upcoming versions.

Overview: Aspose.Slides for .NET

Aspose.Slides is a .NET component to read, write and modify a PowerPoint document without using MS PowerPoint. PowerPoint versions from 97-2007 and all three PowerPoint formats: PPT, POT, PPS are also supported. Now you can create, access, copy, clone, edit and delete slides in your presentations. Other features include saving PowerPoint slides into PDF, adding & modifying audio & video frames, using shapes like rectangles or ellipses and saving presentations in SVG format, streams or images.

What’s new in this release?

The new version of Aspose.BarCode for Java 5.6.2 has been released. We are glad to state that this release lets you get the rotation angle of a detected barcode. Read Password Protected Excel 2013 Files & Print Excel Comments in Java Apps

What’s new in this release?

The long awaited version of Aspose.Cells for Java 7.7.2 has been released. This new release supports reading password protected Microsoft Excel 2013 files. We provide the Style.setJustifyDistributed() method so you can apply the justify distributed setting while applying text alignment settings on cells. We also provide support for B3 (13.9 x 19.7 inches) and Business Card (90 mm x 55 mm) PaperSizeType. We have enhanced the unhiding rows/columns feature in this release. While making a hidden column or row visible, if you want to restore it to previously assigned width/height or to its original width/height, you can unhide the column or row with a negative width/height. We have added a number of enhancements and fixes in the new release. For example, you can now print comments in a Microsoft Excel document while rendering to PDF.We have improved the chart to image and sheet to image modules and fixed issues with manipulating charts and shapes. Several other important issues have also been addressed. Issues to do with exporting Excel workbooks to PDF format have been resolved. A few other improvements are also made to Aspose.Cells for Java’s formula calculation engine. We have fixed a few exceptions when reading and writing Microsoft Excel file formats too. Convert PDF to XML, Set Image Prefix & Fonts in PDF to HTML Conversion

What's New in this Release?

The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (8.9.0) has been released. One of the features we implemented for Aspose.Pdf for .NET early on was converting an XML file to PDF. The API also provides the facility to transform custom XML files to PDF with the help of XSLT. With the release of Aspose.Pdf for .NET 8.9.0, we have introduced a new feature which lets you convert PDF documents to XML (MobiXML). As usual, we try to keep things simple, so this feature can be accomplished with two simple lines of code. Aspose.Pdf for .NET also offers the feature to determine if source PDF file is signed. As shown on the blog page, you can verify if the source PDF file is signed without providing the signature name. PDF to HTML conversion is one of our prominent features and with every new release we make it more powerful by adding new capabilities. MS Word 2013 Password-Protected Documents Support in .NET, Java & Android

What's New in this Release?
 
Aspose development team is happy to announce the monthly release of Aspose.Words for .NET and Java 14.1.0 as well as Aspose.Words for Android 1.6.0.  Aspose.Words 14.1.0 includes over 100 useful new features, enhancements and bug fixes. Aspose.Words has wide support for documents created by Microsoft Word 2013 however one there was a limitation when it came to password-protection. Documents created by Microsoft Word 2013 use a different type of encryption when compared to older versions of Microsoft Word and as such were not supported by Aspose.Words from the get go when the new format was introduced. The fix included in this month’s release fix resolves this problem and Aspose.Words can now load and save such documents without any issues. A new class has been introduced which allows you to control how revisions are displayed when rendering documents to formats such as PDF, XPS etc. Use the members of LayoutOptions.RevisionOptions to fine tune how revisions appear in rendered documents. This month’s release marks further improvements to rendering performance as internal parts of the rendering process have been optimized to reduce memory usage.  This improvement will reduce the possibility of OutOfMemory issues and improve the rendering performance when working with extra-large documents. Create Transparent Images from Worksheets & Reading Large Excel Files in Java

What’s new in this release?

The long awaited version of Aspose.Cells for Java 7.7.1 has been released. This new release supports reading large Excel files with LightCells API. This is a useful feature. Sometimes you need to read data from a huge Microsoft Excel workbook with millions of records and you are always worried about the performance. You want it to take less time and memory to process big files. The LightCells API is useful in that scenario: to read huge Excel spreadsheets, it uses less memory, so you get better performance and efficiency. The sample code given on the blog page reads a big file and retrieves the total number of cells, a count of strings and a count of formulas for each worksheet in the workbook. Another valuable feature is to find the cells with some particular style or formatting. Aspose.Cells supports finding all cells that have a common style or formatting. Aspose.Cells provides the FindOptions.setStyle() method which you can use to specify the style to search cells for. You can now create transparent images of Microsoft Excel worksheet. Sometimes, you need to generate an image of your worksheet as a transparent image. For example, you might want to apply transparency to all the cells which have no fill color. We have added support to parse/ read ActiveX controls in the template files. We have also added a number of enhancements in the new release. In this version, we have refactored the PivotTables module. We’ve made tremendous enhancements and fixed several issues. We have improved the chart to image and sheet to image modules. In this release, we have fixed the issues with manipulating charts and shapes. Several other important issues have also been addressed. For example, issues to do with rendering Microsoft Excel file formats, rendering images from Excel worksheets, rendering shapes and controls data and exporting Excel workbooks to PDF format have been resolved. Reschedule Incomplete Project Status & Enhanced Gantt Chart Rendering

What’s new in this release?

We are happy to announce the release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 6.3.0. Microsoft Project provides the option to update project work as completed through a specified date for the entire project or specified tasks only. The uncompleted project work can then be rescheduled to start after a specified date. This month’s release of Aspose.Tasks provides the same capability to update project work and reschedule uncompleted work through a specified date. Gantt chart rendering to various output formats was introduced in an earlier release. This feature was further improved in the follow-up versions e.g. capability of rolling up Gantt chart bars during rendering was provided. This month’s release brings further improvements to Gantt chart rendering including sorting tasks by any column, customizing text display with task bars and aligning contents of cells. We have also improved the API functionality in terms of fixes for a number of bugs reported by our customers such as baseline information that couldn’t be read, issues with the actual duration and work of a task and some others. Automatic Update of Linked OLE Frame Data & Better SmartArt Editing & Rendering

What's New in this Release?

The long awaited version of Aspose.Slides for Java (8.2.0) has been released. This is a major release where we have introduced new features and fixed a number of existing rendering issues from earlier versions. This release has enhanced support for SmartArt loading, saving, editing, and 2d-rendering of objects. For more information about these features, please visit Working with SmartArt Shapes in the documentation section. Some of our customers have asked for a way to preset the zoom level for output presentations when viewed in Microsoft PowerPoint. To fulfill this requirement, we have introduced support for setting the zoom level of generated PowerPoint presentations. Earlier, Aspose.Slides defaulted to 100% zoom level. The support for automatic update of linked OLE frame data has also been introduced in this version. With this feature any changes to linked OLE frame files are reflected in generated presentations. Please read Setting OleFrame Update Mode to see how this feature can be used in the documentation section. We have also introduced a feature that lets you set multilevel chart categories.  Now you can add child nodes for any chart category. Several presentation rendering issues inside exported PDF and slides thumbnails including improper text rendering, improper chart rendering, missing or improperly rendered images and corrupt PDFs have been resolved in this release. Configure Proxy Server via SOCKS Protocol & Semi-Corrupt PST File Reading

What's New in this Release?

Aspose.Email for .NET 3.8.0 has been released with a number of new features and bug fixes. Organizations sometimes use proxy servers within their premises for controlled access to the digital world outside. This requires mail client configurations, like specifying the proxy server address, that otherwise fail to communicate via the proxy server in absence of such information. Our customers have asked us to support this behavior and we are pleased to share that this month’s release supports configuring proxy server settings for SOCKS4, SOCKS4a and SOCKS5 protocol in mail clients. Sometimes, a PST contains a handful of corrupt messages, as well as normal messages. This has a negative effect on reading even the non-corrupted messages from the file. We have addressed this issue and enhanced the overall messages reading capability from such a semi-corrupt PST in this month’s release. This month’s release also includes a number of bug fixes related to Multilanguage email encodings, inline images display, MapiCalendar scheduling and some attachment issues. We have also fixed some issues related to messages conversion to various formats such as EML and TIFF which further adds to the API’s overall functionality. The main bug fixes, new & improved features added in this release are listed below
  • Support of working via SOCKS proxy in Imap, Pop3 or Smtp clients
  • Improvement semi-corrupt PST reading
  • EML to MHTML: Korean characters in subject replaced "?" is now fixed
  • Accents converted to special characters, while converting from EML to MSG
  • Wrong start and end time read for MapiCalendar
  • MailMessage identifies HTML message body as Plain Text
  • Email message headers rendered to output MHT
  • MSG Files using Aspose.Email can't be sent from Outlook is now fixed
  • EML to MSG raises System.FormatException is now resolved
  • MSG to TIFF raises System.InvalidOperationException now resolved
  • Exception resolved  while converting EML loaded in MailMessage to MapiMessage (.NET)
Other most recent bug fixes are also included in this release.
